The Sinophone: not from China, but in Chinese

A decade ago Sinophone studies emerged as a new academic field within the humanities, with several scholars from North America, Europe as well as Asia engaging in research on Sinitic-language cultural production through the lens of this novel and multidisciplinary mode of inquiry.
