ICAS 13

The 13th edition of the International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) took place in Surabaya, Indonesia from July 28-August 1, 2024. Welcoming more than 1500 participants from over 60 countries around the world, ICAS 13 reimagined scholarly exchange through its Conference-Festival (ConFest) model. In addition to panels and roundtables, the gathering included a variety of nontraditional modes of academic, artistic, and civic engagement – from film screenings, public exhibitions, and festival nights to urban sketch walks, kampung visits, and in-situ workshops.
