Dr Stacey Links is Assistant Professor at Leiden University where she teaches in both the MA Asian Studies and MA International Relations programmes. Specifically, she coordinates and gives the course, 'China-Africa relations in a Changing Global Order (CARCGO)' which focuses on her research on China-Africa engagement. Dr. Links received her PhD from Utrecht University's department of law (under the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights), where she focused on foreign policy discourses on the human rights dimension of China-Africa relations.
As part of her current research, she focuses on the Right to Development, African agency in China-Africa engagement, as well as broader South-South engagement. She is particularly interested in the international politics of knowledge production and how actors and experiences from the global south can contribute more ardently to global knowledge. Given her expertise, she regularly consults and advises a range of government and independent organizations.
