Paul van der Velde

Paul van der Velde has been connected to IIAS since its inception in 1993. He is the founding editor of The Newsletter, co-founder of the International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) and founder of the ICAS Book Prize (IBP). He has published widely in the field of Asian studies. 
 

Paul is currently part of a research project studying the colonial background of the fortune of the Dutch royal family.
