Meeting at the Panteion University in Athens, Greece
On 22 September, IIAS Director Philippe Peycam and IIAS staff held key meetings with Panteion University’s Rector, Professor Christina Koulouri, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Maria Meng-Papantoni, Konstantinos Tsimonis, Academic Lead of the Institute of International Relations - ΙΔΙΣ IDIS China Program, and Professor Andreas Gofas, Director of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi.
These discussions marked the start of plans to establish Greece’s first Asian Studies hub, an initiative aimed at strengthening Asian Studies infrastructures in Southern Europe through a global and inclusive perspective.
We look forward to building on these promising developments and to continuing the work of developing Asian Studies across Europe.
