The IIAS Annual Lecture 2005 will be given by Rem Koolhaas, Pritzker Architecture Prize-winner. After the lecture a panel of international specialists will discuss contemporary urban developments in China.

Rem Koolhaas is founding architect and one of the partners of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA); a leading international partnership practicing contemporary architecture, urbanism and cultural analysis. Among others OMA has been working on urban research for the Central Business District of Beijing where it is currently building its tallest projects ever: the new 553,000 m2 headquarters for China Central Television (CCTV).
