The First Asian and European Linguistic Seminar

IIAS organises a small-scale seminar with the aim of bringing together linguists from Asia and Europe, which will lead to a larger and more formal international conference to be organised later. The seminar is being organised by Professor Shelley Ching-yu Hsieh, visiting professor of Chinese Studies in Taiwan at the IIAS. Speakers include Abhishek Avtans (Leiden); Shelley Ching-yu Hsieh (Leiden), Henning Kloeter (Goettingen), Antoinette Schapper (Cologne), Hilario de Sousa (Nijmegen), Rint Sybesma (Leiden), Thi Thuy Hien Tran (Grenoble), Jeroen Wiedenhof (Leiden).
