Chinese Buddhism and the Scholarship of Erik Zürcher: Opening and book presentation
Presentation of the first copy of 'Buddhism in China: Collected Papers of Erick Zürcher' during the official opening of this three-day international conference in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix.
The three-day international conference on Chinese Buddhism and the Scholarship of Erik Zürcher will be offcially opened on Wednesday 12 February from 10.00-11.45 hours in the Academy Building, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix.
During the opening, Mrs H.D. Zürcher-Bulten will be presented with the first copy of: Buddhism in China: Collected Papers of Erick Zürcher (edited by Jonathan A. Silk, Leiden University).
Stefano Zacchetti will give the opening lecture: “A Unique Trajectory: Erik Zürcher’s Studies of Chinese Buddhism.

The programme for the opening will begin at 10.00 hrs. in the Great Auditorium.
The Academy Building will be open from 09.00 hrs., and you are kindly requested to be seated before 09.45 hrs.
Tea and coffee will be served in the Reception Room of the Academy Building after the opening, at 11.15 hrs.
