Cooperation Models between China and Latin America in Energy Development

Sino-Latin American energy cooperation with recent rapid development composes of an important part in the energy order change of the Western Hemisphere. There are six models that China employs for cooperation: crude oil trade, technical service model, joint development model, infrastructure-building participation model, loans for oil model, and bio-fuels technology joint research model. Latin America can still be viewed as a strategic alternative for China to diversify its oil import and safeguard its future energy security.
